One had two pickups and was red starburst and the rarer four pickup model with the Black and Green starburst pattern.
The original owner said he recalled there were only two colors of this particular model made. Vibrato works perfect and the neck is straight. Each pickup has its own volume control including on/off switch and one master tone knob. It still has the same flat wound strings on it. It has been kept it in it's original(included) chipboard case since then and hasn't changed since I bought it. He played it for 9 months while taking lessons and then lost interest. Very snarly and has a really nice bite that in Posted withġ960's Teisco Kimberly- I bought this from the original owner who bought it new in 1969. Soundwise its what you woudl expect from this era Japan guitar. more It is playable up and down as well but you can tell the previous owner set it up for slide. Neck itself has some relief in it(there is no truss rod adjustment) and with the new taller nut it's more set up for slide with higher action. Frets are smaller profile and do show wear but still retain a playable profile. Has a really cool looking metal mirror finish pickguard. There's one tone and one voume control and a slider switch labeled treble/solo. Has 2 pickups each with an on/off rocker switch.
Electronics are a bit scratchy but all does work. The"B" and high"E" string plastic tuner bushings are missing. All aprts appear to be original except the nut which is a modern replacement.
